I don't think I will be heading out there with them unless they need me to bring some parts over, but I know they will do a great job as they did last time I was there.

Did the dealership also offer the bracket.. or just the pigtail harness? I have the problem myself and do not want to spend 70+ on ebay etc.. for a new timing cover that has the bracket and harness..Thanks...

Yes it came with the bracket as well and I think it was $35 or so.

I got the part number by searching on the site and just gave that to the parts counter guys, I also always make sure to let them know I used to work at the dealership next door and they hook me up with the discount as well.

Well the exhauts is all finished and the car has had an alignment, I'm just waiting on a tune and it'll be ready to burn some rubber

Ok it has been a long time since I updated this thread so here is goes. The car went over to Stenod for the exhaust work and a few other little things. They did an amazing job and I am completly psyched about it, everything turned out great. Here are a few pics. Even with my tunnel mounted torque arm they still managed to weld in the flowmaster merge to that huge 4" piping and electric cutout, after that it flows back into a stock muffler and out C6 tips.

Now for the bad part, when the exhaust was finished my tuner went over to Stenod to put a base tune on my car. Everything seemed to be going fine but after taking it for a short test drive the intake manifold starting leaking bad and the car wanted to idle to the moon. After getting the car back I immediatly started tackeling the intake leak problem only to find that the broken bottom half that we spent so much time fixing this winter was cracked bad Guess we learned the hard way and I'm glad things weren't worse but it looks like I am going to get FUCKED by FAST because they no longer make the replacement bottom half for the older style intake and they told me I was on my own. So in short does anyone have a LS6 intake manifold they'd like to sell me so I can finally drive this thing.

Use some steel ( doesn't need to be thick, to reinforce the broken section, pop rivet it in place, then use fiberglass to seal the seam.

You have no structure, the two part epoxy or whatever that is can't work on its own.

That is plugged with a piece of aluminum, the side you can see in the pic is bigger than the hole itself. The plug is stepped and the higher part sits inside the hole. The first time I fixed it I used rivits and epoxy and the epoxy started flaking off, this time we used JB weld because that was I was recommended to use by several plastic companies after they told me it couldn't be plastic welded. I have done my homework on fixing it but at this point its not worth the cost of the trial and error anymore and I sure as hell don't want to risk ruining a brand new motor because of it. I also plan to spray the motor down the line and would never spray it with this type of fix, it was just temporary.

I can't seem to find part numbers for that bracket/wiring pigtail for the life of me...This site http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.php?id=837831&da=y shows them both but the part numbers next to them are giving me nothing...If by chance you still have the numbers you got written down somewhere could I get them? Oh and what piston rings did you end up going with? Did you just get them from GMPP or Total Seal? Thanks man....Sorry for hijacking your thread...wish I could finish my build...

PM or e-mail SDPC one of the guys from there posted a part number on here a while back, I will try and look for the number but not sure if I still have it or not.The piston rings are probably total seal, the guy who did all the machine work did it all so I have no idea really.

Well after getting my LS6 intake and throttle body yesterday I went to town and got the car up and running beautifully, with the base tune my tuner put on the car it learned idle rather quickly and drove very smooth. I put about 10 miles on it because it had been the first time in 10 months that I drove the car again and it felt great, I will try and find a camera so we can get some exhaust videos up and get it over to my guy to fiunish the tune asap.

glad you got everything working right.. I was afraid for a min that the engine just wasnt going to stay running for you. Hopefully I will see your car out running sometime.

side note: you had that engine bay cleared out and you never cleaned that sucker!? I would have been all over that chance.

Just curious, was everything plug and play and direct fit on this car. besides a few extentions to a few harness on this swap.

We had the MIFbody dyno day today and it was a great event and a good turnout of people as well. Here are my two runs, first is with the cutout closed and second is open, both runs the converter was locked.
