But raising the ports has ALWAYS helped (look at lt1-4 stuff)......I thought this intake would provide noticable gain on the dyno, not the genie-in-a-box but a gain. Other things to consider are the port floor differences (ls1-vs-7 heads) and the ports flow characteristics at 36" as well as 28". As I have observed, a "decent" port can get real turbulent when flowed @ 36", when the port is corrected to be "in tune" w/ the intake, the power goes up.
All that said, I think I need a taller hood for the Z and the fast 102 will go on a new camaro, at least it will look good

It is looking like stock manifold vs stock manifold on a "tame" LS7 the are OK gains to be made.
Still waiting to find a "cammed" LS7 with a comparison of ported LS7 vs ported FAST using the same injectors.

Stock LS2 Bottom L92 Top End couple with FTI cam that is supposedly all wrong for L92 heads (thanks Ed Curtis) and a Yank SS3600 stall.
And a bunch of other "stuff" that I won't bore you with.

We tried to hit 600whp with one of our LS7 customer cars. I found something I'd like to share.
That giant lip on the first runner of the LS7 intake should be the first thing to go when porting. Removing the lip evened out the cylinder to cylinder flow distribution from over 6% to under 3%. Oddly enough, on the dyno the only improvement gained by removing this lip in comparison to just porting the runners was in the mid range (+3ft.lbs) and after the peak power reading. It just hung in there till redline a bit better, just like the dyno of the FAST 102. The BSFC numbers did get better though.
