Default Patriot Heads quality?

Would members have any comments on the Patriot heads in general. Some members may have experiences they could share. I am thinking of purchasing some. Cheers Russ

There stock heads that have been ported. There good. Im trying to figure out what your asking ? Takes 2 week for them to build a head for you but you can change a few things when you order them if you like. Chamber CC and stuff

I had Patriots on my FRC 'vette. Loved 'em; great product at a great price.

I have a friend that installed a 408 in his Camaro and put Patriots on, and ever since, he has been wanting Trickflows...

I personally learned from him and others with cheap budget heads and got it right the first time and saved up for a set of Trickflows. I think the AFRs are also very good heads. Did a little research and found that both Trickflow and AFR have very good exhaust CFM compared to ALL other heads, Trickflow has better intake CFM though compared to AFR. But to each his own.

The cnc job is pretty rought and ready. Im sure they do the job, but in comparison to the higher end stuff they are lacking a bit.

I am asking because they are half the price of AFR heads but their flow figures are extremely good. I dont want to import them to AUS and find they are no good. Cheers Russ

Honestly if I had to do it all over again I would either get my stockers ported (just found out there is a pretty good head porter i my area) or get some AFR's. Dont bother with anything else.

If going to be importing them save up and get the Trickflows as cast then much better heads . If you can wait and save up more get the CNC trickflows

They are ok, can't beat the price. BUT don't expect huge #s. They are great for OE replacements but it you want to get to a high level. Then forget them.

I had them on my 408 got 455/455 and peak 5800. I tore it appart 2 days later. I went LS3 top. I did the math. The LS3 top was better $$$. It pulls so much more up top. It should be close to my 500 goal. I left the cam from the old setup for now. I'd like to dyno it then swap the cam. I figure low 500s with the cam and more once the FAST(if ever) comes out. I should've gone this route to begin with!

Thanks for all the input and any info on any of the US heads is appreciated. Trick flow are well thought of and AFR here has a good name. Are there other US brands and comments? Cheers Russ

Stock ported heads. I had a set of stock ported on my first set up and was happy. Then I switched to AFR205cc and gained 40 more hp.

Good value for the dollar. Fine for a medium build 5.3 -- 6.0 liter. I owned two sets
