What an incredibly broad question with minimal info. You guys are being incredibly nice...

Please provide some basics such as:

-BUDGET! very important - do you realize a LS7 long block will run you near
$10k?

-HP goals? This is a big, big factor. You might be able to get there with a built LS1, a LS2 or you may need the LS7. You'd be surprised what you can build out of a LS2 block with some nice heads.

-Do you plan any supporting mods to the T56? Clutch, internals, etc..? Your replacing your rear-end - not a cheap move. Again, budget, goals? Do you want a 10 sec F-body? Full interior? What is your expected "race" weight?

The only info we have on this ford is this:

Any idea of 1/4 or 1/8mi times/speeds? What about weight - I'm assuming mid-high 2000lb range? That will start to give you an idea of how much power you need - your already at a disadvantage because your 97 is a pig compared to a Fox body. Are you stripping interior out and just caging it, or keeping it totally stealth with full interior? That can make a several hundred pound difference and up to a second difference in 1/4 mi time with the same power.

-Will you drive this on the street, just race it, 90% street, 10% strip? Makes a big difference in cams, intake, etc... With your stealth desires - your talking a low profile stock type intake - maybe a Fast if you ground off their logos.

Bottom line - give us more info and you'll get a much better, detailed answer with fingers pointing you in the right direction.
