L92 heads, due to their rather large intake valve, require at least a 4.00" bore to be utilized. Roughly speaking, they'll fit on a stock bore 6.0l, and larger, bores.

GMPP just released a set of 3.905" bore L92 heads. might check into them and see just how small of a bore they can fit on...

In almost every sense of the word, those aren't L92 heads!

I just picked up a GMPP catalog today while on my lunch break, I didn't see any "small bore" rectangle port heads in there.

See thats the thing, its not going to be a N/A motor. It will be consuming air from a master power t70 at the tune of about 13# on pump gas.
Im just wondering if these heads are more trouble than they are worth, and if it should just stay with the original plan of using the 317s and a ls6 intake/tb and be done with it?

the GMPP catalog says the small bore l92 heads can be used on a minimum bore of 3.890". I haven't seen the head nor do I know the guide spacing but it doesn't sound like it would work on the 3.780" bore the 5.3 has.
