because since the L92 is going into trucks, all there is is a truck intake. but the aussie cars are getting a similar engine that has a car intake (LS2 style) which is what we need for high rpm power

Heres a small update from an email i got from he customer service email at gmpartsdirect.com on availbility of the L92 Block.

12584727, is a future part, GM currently is not accepting orders at this time. There is not an estimated time when it will be available from GM.

Thank you for choosing www.GmPartsDirect.com

So its looking like its going to be awhile. Oh, well i start with the heads and valvetrain and then get the rotating assembly, and hopefully have everything bought by the tie the block is available.

Are crate motors available? I saw part #'s but obviously haveing a part # doesn't mean much. That would get you a block.

No, they are not on national backorder, GM just simply cancels any orders placed on them because there is no ditributing vendor for them yet. As soon as I know about their availability and the l92 car manifold, I'll be sure to let you guys know!! Lining up to take prders would be somehting I would try, but when you place the order with GMSPO, they cacel it immediately, so no line forming is allowed....

I was thinking about going ahead and placing an order with gmpartsdirect also but i guess ill wait till we find out if and when we can for sure get them.

Just as I suspected. I ask about that earlier in this thread and no one responded. I didn't see any reason why the Escalades would have forged cranks.

One of the threads it was answered as I think Kurt from W2W said he saw them on the production line and they were cast but with so many threads looking for all this unknown info stuff is easily missed.

Stroker replacement sounds like a good plan.

About how long is taking to get the L92 parts in once an order is put in? I'm thinking about ordering a set of heads, the valve train and an aussie intake.
Has anyone actually recieved one of the intakes yet?

Default Updated info

I have been trying to get good information on the L92 Heads. We have been playing with them a bit and will share that information when we have good data.

GMPP will sell the heads complete fully assembled for about $700.00 a pair.

The good news is that they plan to offer an intake kit also. The intake will come with injectors, fuel rails and a 90 MM throttle body. The target price for the kit is $475.00.

The L92 heads and intake kit will be a very cost effective performace upgrade for the LS engines. Look for the heads to be availble 3rd quarter.

I will advise more on the intake kit when I get a release date.
