If I make the trip (will decide after testing on the 7th) I will run Index 11.00 or 11.50 car has had issues all year and currently is running 11.80 on 7 cylinders and I need to figure that out in a hurry.

you fast true street guys gonna go for KOTS or shoot for a 9.0 avg?

i am worried about traction with the regular tire cars running with us. i need 1.3 short times for sub 9 sec. passes.

atomic fusion.. wat rear tires you going with, youre prolly the only other fast guy gonna be on 17's right? im on a 295/45

was looking thru your pics to scope the new turbo stuff, didnt see them. BIG dyno graph tho!!!

a car like yours you definitely need to throw away that water noodle stuff around your cage and get sfi approved padding. your unprotected skull will go right through that cheap shit into the bar in a street crash.

I am running the 295-45-17's as well. The only problem i will have is by the time the shootout get's here, I will only have been to the track 2 time's.
I will be running it as hard as the track will allow for traction.

I'll be there. I'm running the 14.00 second class. That's spelled s-l-o-w compared to 98% of the field. It's still lots of fun.

I took a look at the roll calls from prior years and we have more in Index, TS and DR than in the past on the list.

In the past, the list has been has been about half or even less than half of actual attendees. Some folks are shy about voting, don't like to commit in case they cannot make it or just are not on the forum or are even aware of this section.

it is going to be a great one

gas prices are down, it is the third year, all around looking like a record breaking weekend for us.

I have 2 sets of rear tires depending on what rules we have to deal with. My car with a 1.39 was a 9.04 earlier this year, but with the changes we have made I am expecting some sub 9 second passes.

I guess we will see wht happnes. The padding is from Jegs, but I suspect it would work in the pool too. I plan on changing a good deal of that this winter.

We made a considerable amount of changes for this event, including the new 67mm turbos, headers, intercooler, lowered compression back down to 9:1 and some other odds and ends. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to compete with you.
