As of this coming Saturday we are 60 days out! I can hardly contain my excitement! Still tweeking the car though, and luckily we have 2 1/4 mile tracks to test at this year instead of one for the whole month of September like last year. It sure is hard to run 10.50s. I'm a little discouraged it may not get there. I will keep plugging away (a lot this weekend) and see what happens. At least I have some nice new wheels to look at now! I hope everyone is having great luck in getting their car where you need it and be sure you come to the shootout!

11.008 in qualifying at zMax...too bad I had a brain fart rd 1
Same here. I had a 11.508 on Saturday.
I then had a 11.516. Almost there. Need to tighten it up a little more.

all i can say is if you are running index, need to be on your game! da vettes are deadly this year!
t - 59 days
Rob got a 11.508 and Edgar ran 11.008. I only got a 10.009. Yep, the vettes were well represent at ZMAX. I ran under the index with a 9.981 in 3000+ DA and a track temp of 136, so I'm sure that lots of adjustments will need to be made at Memphis with colder air and track conditions. I'm really looking forward to it though.
I may have some changes to my Vette before this event. I may have a different engine but if I don't have it installed, The Vette will run the number regardless.
New setup will be a package that I can run almost any Index Class from the quickest to the slowest.

I went to the track tonite for a little test and tune and on the third pass my trans lost second gear. It looks like I may be putting the six speed back in to make the shootout. I just sunk 900 bucks into a new converter and manual valve body, and I don't have the funds to get the trans built. So unless something changes in the very near future there will be one more gearbanger running index.
