Default host hotel screwed me! gave away my room.

reserved a room 3 months ago

i got called TODAY said my credit card was denied so they cancelled my reservation and gave my room to someone on the waiting list

what was wrong you ask?

well 3 months ago i had the old release of my credit card with a 9/09 experation.

i assumed they would run the card the day i bougth it .. they waited until today i guess.

i offered up to them that the card was of course renewed and to just enter 9/12 as the experation... nope too late, your room has all ready been given away.

they said this is policy and they reserve the right to blah blah

they called me to let me know i no longer had a room there, but could not (or were not required to) call me in attempt to clear any confusion / payment. ITS STILL ONE PHONE CALL EITHER WAY

fuck those guys.. im staying at the comfort inn ATOKA now. its a brand new hotel and was a bit cheaper.

if anyone has some pull at the hotel please express dissapointment for me..

those bastards, what was the hotel name. I've had that happen before makes you want to kill the morons, better now than at midnight when you show up. threaten to sleep in the lobby and they call the police.

I reserved a very nice call ( long distance) from them last night to confirm that I was still coming down( because of all the rain they are getting ) and that I still wanted my room. They were very happy that the rain was not going to keep me away and that I still wanted my room.Have never had a hotel do this before and was very impressed with them.

Hey guys Sleep Inn closest to the track (5 miles?) gave my room away without a call or anything and sent us to the Sleep Inn 30 minutes away and they ended up giving us a voucher Monday for a free room whenever we want to stay next year but it still sucked. BOO SLEEP INN!!!

You didn't miss much. What a dump the host hotel was. Our TV remote didn't work, beds were horrible! And the free breakfast.....? Toast and plastic cups the size of shot glasses for orange juice? No thanks. Going somewhere else next time. Plus some pipes broke next door and flooded out the room, which spilled into our room. We had some fans and a shop vac running for hours to try and dry the floor. When we left, the floor was still wet.

Wow the Admirality was good... beds were comfortable and breakfast rocked, they had a make your own waffle iron and batter, biscuits, sausage, gravy, cereal and fruit.

We even had cars turned sideways and a pool full of pool furniture

LMAO. I stayed at the host hotel, but was out cruising the strip looking for a car wash on Friday night. I saw some people outside at the Admirality, so I decided to pull in and see what was going on. They had Kurt's rental car turned around sideways across two parking spots, and I was ordered to parallel park in the remaining space to block him in! I have no comment on the patio furniture, and how it may have been placed in the pool.

I should have received a trophy for the burnout that night, thats all Im sayin! Haha

Back on topic though, thats bullshit they gave your room away! The hotel called me on Wednesday afternoon to verify I would still be checking in on Thursday afternoon. I would have completely fucking lost it if they had given my room away. Although, dont feel too bad, because the Quality Inn was boring as fuck. I dont really have too many complaints, as it doesnt take much to please me, but the overall atmosphere sucked! There wasnt shit going on all weekend!

Yeah, I fell asleep briefly only to wake up to fire crackers, then dead silence, then cars turned sideways in parking spaces and not long afterwards, cars being staged in the parking lot one after the other and then the strong smell of burning rubber in my room. Best damn party hotel around. I will be back there next year.
