I heard that the racing was soo disorganized today it wasn't funny. They played the national anthem and then took 20 minutes to prep the track before they started racing.

Ive heard they have had alot of issues. I was intending to go but I really figured the weather would have been a factor. I didnt want to drive all that way and then it turn out the car count be awful. I to thought Turley had this one. PUlling for Steven and Josh seems like they are starting to get it dialed in somewhat but got alot stiff competition with Brown and Flipowski and Koehler. all three of their cars are flying. But if any one can do it Steven and Josh can.

Hard to get to rd 2 if 1) your car does t make it the the staging lanes for rd 1. Or 2) your car never makes it to the race.

On a side note, completely dissapointed at how the lsx crowd got pushed back until 5 in the afternoon. I really hope there is a dedicated event to showcase the LSx community in the near future. Being dumped in after 4 hours of jr dragsters and 1/8 bracke cars just to make rd 1 doesn't make me too excited to get my car built and within the lsx shootout rules.

It was great meeting the fellow lsx racers though! Pulling for that dyno queen orange firebird to go some rounds!!!

How screwed up would it be if they actually filled all the classes? Glad I didn't go, because I would have to leave early.

Breaking away from such a big NMCA race and adding a few more classes would be super. It seems its run with NMCA because LSX is expected to be a smaller race and they feel it wouldn't be worth running it by itself. If they added more classes it would give more options. Unless you have a 7.XX sec turbo car or a bottom 9 sec all motor car, your only option is LSX index. Throw in a 275 radial class, or a nitrous class with a limited jet size. Maybe a swap/hybrid class so the non GM bodied cars can play. Don't get me wrong, I will continue to run the shootout anyway. Just think it would be pretty easy to encourage more LSX cars to come out if they had a seperate/unique class to run instead of all being thrown into one giant class.

I got tired of waiting around for the lsx cars today. We ended up leaving the track at around 3:30. Thought I'd get an early jump on the way back home and possibly get a home cooked meal. Glad I didnt wait around. First year actually coming down and it was a big cluster fuck. I understand the weather issues friday and the cars breaking saturday. But today they took way too long in between things. They should have had the next round of cars running staged while the one round was running. Really would be nice to see the LSX cars get their own event. Another thing what was the point of the 30 mile cruise if the cars have about 3hrs to cool down?
