3 Of The Quickest "Rumble" Vettes on the "trailer" before eliminations!
Boy what bad luck!!! The quickest vette in the rumble class was Doug from ECS he won True Street King of the hill with 3 great runs, put the "Go Fast" program in his car and went for the IRS record spinning a bearing in the process falling a bit short of the record. The next quickest Vette was the Copper C6 Z06 Twin Turbo car, after getting his 8.98 run he burned up a head during time trials. My little "Barbie Vette" burned up a starter on Friday, no biggee I went to town got another and spent 4 hours putting it in, went to the lanes with my "slow down" program in trying to run 9.50 and ran a personal best of 9.21 @ 149 boy was I ready for qualifying. Well Satuday night I was ready to qualify but burned up the clutches in my transmission in the process. So there it is, the 3 quickest Rumble Vettes on the trailer before they had a chance to do battle. Oh well thats dragracing!!!

Make that four of the quickest "Rumble" vettes. I also broke my diff housing on the last qualifying pass on Saturday night and was unable to compete on Sunday. I thought that the C6 Z06 diffs were bullet-proof. I guess not. Back to the drawing board.
Nice meeting you JR, sorry to hear about the tranny problems, your car looks like an animal out there. Congrats
Breaking is part of the game sometimes at these levels, I dont know if I "spun a bearing" or not, I just had some noise near the bell housing at the end of the 8.63 pass so I parked it. Hopefully I can get to look at it before our PRO 8 this weekend. I have good oil pressure and it runs fine, so we'll see.

I was wondering what happened to you?
That is too bad.
So did the C6Z diff break in the same way as the C5Z?
Maybe it lasted longer, but will still break in the long run?

It broke the two top ears off of the diff where they connect to the adapter plate. I'm going to RPM tomorrow to get it fixed. And yes, I will be adding a brace. I have never broken a diff case but have broken a couple of ring gears. In the C6 Z06 diff, the gears held up but not the case.

Man do you still have a full c6 z06 rear set up for the c5 for sell. Are have you sold it or broken it. Saw you had one for sell in the corvette forum.

Yes, it is new from RPM and for sale. If I don't sell it this week, it goes back in the car.

Next year the "Barbie Vette" will show up with a trans brake, 2 step, Big Stuff, AND a tranny brace to my C6 Z06 rear end. We just don't know yet which tranny will be used, 4L60E, TH400, or PG in that order (I'm probably too heavy for a PG) I'm done with the elect glitches that may have taken out my tranny and stopped me from putting it in the 8's this year.
