Default Not even a NEWB yet but hope to be

Hey all my name is Dana I live in the dinky town of brownsville oregon. Anyways in short looking to meet alot of neat people. I do not own a LS car yet but I am hoping to be tomorrow, I am looking at trading my 98 civic with a GSR swap off on a 98 Camaro SS tomorrow. I am driving all the way to seattle for it. Anyways even if that does not workout I will still have my 79 camaro which will soon be an LS car. Anyways here are the pictures:

The civic ( i know this is for V8's but have to show how I am gettting myself one first LOL)

And my 79'

Thats when I bought it. Its totally stripped down now, I am currently in the process of putting a 4th gen interior in it and will also be putting a LS motor into it.

Anyways since I am leaving in like 8 hours anyone want to give me any pointers of what to look for on the 98 ss? known problems or anything?

I've driven a 97 civic, lowered, turbo charged with 297 whp/227wtq and it was shit in comparision to either f-body I own. Plan and simple. FWD? Shit for cornering. FWD for snow. Hell yeah!! But really, theres no arguement you can make to have me believe thats a decent car. It looks real nice but put it up to any car with the same hp and same weight and it'll get walked on. Just my opinion. I don't cart what others think really. Especially with this much beer in me.

But like I said, Thats a REALLY clean civic that is not riced out at all. Well done sir. Just please dont' try to talk v8 fans into thinking that is anything but a POS.

Not to be a dick cause i dont like turboed civics but i have a civic at home in MD that will walk you and i mean give you 5 cars and run you down by second gear and you can leave on a sticky tire. hes turning 11.3 with 1.6-1.7 60s guys a damn good driver and a nicely setup car. a a tiburon and civic that would embarrass most cars on here in the corners. my 3rd gen when i had the entire rear suspension an a handful of goodies up front couldnt touch them. ANYYYYYWHO

OP- Good looking civic. its not all riced out. and the camaro way to keep the old school going!!! and you cant complain with a 98 SS

I've seen a crx run 10 seconds flat after 10k dollars spent on a b18 swap. Who gives a shit what the car runs after HUGE modifications. Its still a civic and its still worth nothing.

The truth hurts I know.

Nice upgrade. I know how it feels. I demodded and sold my turbo gp I built to get a f body. Very glad I did that!

It's unusual to see a fourth-gen that still has the stock air lid & air silencer on it. Reminds me of the days when I said I wasn't going to mod my car.....oh how the times have changed
