Default 96 impala ss -help

Been fighting this for 3 days
car is pushing coolant and steaming out of resovoir fans are coming on at 220 or so - im being told that is correct time for fans to come on unless i get a program to come on sooner
i have took the stat out and boiled in water and it did open
could it still be sticking - also have replaced the fan temp switch that screws in to the water pump
also if it is the water pump how can i tell
excuse the ignorance this is my first LT1 i have every put my hands on just got the car 3 days ago

where is the car pushing coolant? what do u mean by that? and if the water pump was bad. it would be leaking tru the weep hole in the bottom front.
