Top Gear Returns for a 12th Series

http://www.topgear.com/uk/assets/cms/967a755d-d9ca-44a9-82c2-a163c331f6d5/First%20Feature%20Image.jpg

The 12th series of Top Gear debuts tonight, 2 November 2008 with eight episodes and the usual presenting team of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.

This series will contain another visit to the United States, this time to investigate a new generation of American muscle cars. There will also be an hour long special in Vietnam, similar to the ones in America and Botswana.

A challenge which will be included in this series is a way to "beat the credit crunch", demonstrated by Clarkson, Hammond and May modifying existing cars.

Clarkson was injured during a high speed crash while filming for the new series of Top Gear.

Clarkson was injured? Hope he is okay! And hope it was nothing close to Hammond's crash in the jet car.

The crash Clarkson was injured in was shown in last night's episode. He's ok.

Next Sunday is their American muscle car episode.

That episode was pretty good; great start to the series. The guest was boring, but 8/10 none-the-less. I really liked the GT2/LP560-4 review. I knew Jeremy would get the most insane thing to driver through, but damn, that was crazy. I think I am going to watch it again, actually. Next week is what we've all been waiting for...ZR1, CTS-V, and the Challenger. Although, whatever they do with the Veyron will be my 2nd favorite thing of the year.

I've been watching Australia in UK's absence and have been pretty disappointed so far most of there show's are boring, I'm glad UK is back they definitely have the best Top Gear. Last Episode was pretty good and I thought Jeremy's Semi looked bad ass too. Can't wait for next week's episode it should be great.

You know theyll just bash on the Vette and tell everyone it s a pure race car and cant be driven on the street, but its fast. The show is highly entertaining but an atrocity when it comes to accuracy in anything they test. :bang:

Richard has the Challenger up for sale in the US.

http://transmission.blogs.topgear.com/2008/11/09/for-sale-challenger-one-careful-owner/

So the second show of the new series has burst onto your screens and, compared to last week’s show, it hasn’t - fingers crossed - upset anyone. Unless lots of people have decided to complain that it was unusually about cars for once.

But what, you might be wondering, has happened to the Dodge Challenger that Hammond bought for the American road trip? Well, after its adventures on the salt flats it was taken to a garage for a reassuringly expensive health check and very thorough clean up, after which it was advertised for sale.

Unfortunately, it turns out that during a credit crunch people in America have suddenly realised that a bright orange two door muscle car isn’t top of their priority list and, whilst Richard paid a premium for it just a few months ago, Challenger values are now becoming distinctly mushy. Net result is no one has made an offer. Yet.

So, if you’re reading this in the US and you fancy a well specced, low mileage Challenger with TV stardom and (sort of) competition pedigree, you know where to look. Other than that, just tell us what you thought of the show. We’re listening, even if we can’t sell you a car…

It was relatively entertaining, i just love they talk endless crap about american cars and a few hours later they are in love with them.

And another thing... they need to learn how to light up some tires, pathetic attempts at leaving down rubber.

x2 but that's just one of the things to work out. I think Hydrogen cars have lots of potential but you really have to look at the costs of actually extracting hydrogen from water.

IMO just setup more nuclear plants and use the energy they produce to free up the hydrogen we need.
