I was on my way home this morning and actually got a couple races in. First, a Chrysler 300C, too easy. Then, just as I finished killing the 300 and slowed back down to a normal speed, I see a pair of headlights coming up on me fast. I maintain my moderate speed and await the next contestant's arrival. As it pulled up next to me, I noticed it was a 2 door Mercedes, chick driving. It looked kinda sporty and fast, but I didn't know what it was so I let her pull a fender ahead of me so I could see the badge on the back. CL600. Ok, I still didn't know what a CL600 was, but wanted to find out what it had. We went twice, both times from about 45 roll until the top of my 4th gear, and both times I steadily pulled about 5-6 car lengths on her. I got home and did a little research. Turns out the CL600 has a 12 cylinder powerplant, but it looks like they only run low 14's in the 1/4 in stock form. Anyway, that was my fun this morning.

That's what I thought. I was amazed when I found out they have a 12 cylinder. Then I was surprised again to see that they only run low 14's, lol.

Those Mercedes are built like tanks... they weigh a lot more than you'd guess, and that's probably to blame for it being so slow for a V12. Nice kill though! I bet she was pissed at the dealer that told her it was the fastest thing on the road!

I assume it wasn't the TT V12 (more production years than the n/a V12 CL600) that runs around mid 12s in the upper? teens.

That would be a cl65 amg... and of course, no.

The did make the CL600 models with the Biturbo v12 but they started in 02 or 03. Check this link. http://www.supercarsite.net/mercedes--benz/cl-600/2003
The bi turbo v12's in the 600 and the 65amg are completely different.
6.0l(510bhp) vs 6.5l (605)
OP You definitely ran into the n/a v12 which is a dog compared to these cars.
Nice kill though.

Yes I have no doubt that it was the N/A version. I just thought it was an interesting kill since that's the first CL600 I've seen around here.

good kill..I've been debating on whether to run these mercedes and bmws since they all look about the same. I hardly ever know which ones to look for so I just focus on finding the AMGs and M3s
