0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Im not a big fan of non american cars. Better yet trucks, but damn, this is nice.

Trap speed is kinda weak

It's because of the huge frontal area on trucks.

It looks like it would be 41k with the engine/suspension stuff only and 36k without the round bricks on each corner. Go without the big brake kit that apparently doesn't work and you are looking at 33k, not too bad IMO.

Pretty impressive! The regular cab Tundras are ugly though.

amen!... I think toyota is releasing this truck right at the wrong time, but its interesting to them going at the performance enthusiasts. Good numbers though

I agree. The economy's shit. I don't know why they'd want to release it now other than they've already sunk money into marketing and it's too late.

My bro just bought a new sr5 4x4 trd tundra for 31k and its worth every penny and then some. Its the quietest smoothest riding truck i've been in in a long time. then throw on the factory back blower for 505hp you just cant beat it, If it were a single cab swb 2 wheel drive can you say lightning contender with a better axel, brakes, and comforts. and then you get the quality of a toyota

Its called "Toyota Denial" They can only do right, and anything American is bad. They are more out of touch then the general public or press will acknowledge.

If they are so insightful why would they build a huge truck plant "at the exact wrong time" and start full production of a giant gas hungry truck! F Toyota.

How much boost are they running on it, anyone know?

Being a truck guy with a TVS1900 on his truck it's pretty interesting to me. :P

I'd rather buy GM and put my own blower on though(and I did). :)

Not into quick trucks.

I wonder if toyota had to send this engine to Germany too, to make big power.:D

I believe it is 8psi. Someone on TundraSolutions ran a 12.8 at 107 with a RC Tundra

Interesting to see Toyota developing their performance market during this time in the American Economy but regardless this will drive all other competitors to step up their game and improve what they have.

So all of you Toyota haters out there, you should still be excited to see this truck roll off the production line because this is going to force Dodge, Ford and Chevy to put out a comparable performance truck!

Ouch...beats the joe gibbs silverado, lightning f150, and srt10 ram.

and also alot of "sporty cars" first one that came to mind was the ford gt500 with the tundra having a faster 0-60 time:engarde:

either way i think the truck is hideous and the only thing i like about it is the power it makes so ill give it credit on that. If this was a gm truck making those numbers id be all over it! too bad i will never see myself in any toyota/nissan or any non american truck, fuck that!

dude i hate to say this but have you seen how bad the "big 3" are doing lately? I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt see anything domestic being made at ALL this year coming up...let alone a performance truck from the big 3. I hope im wrong tho:usa:

That's awesome, good job Toyota! Now instead of messing around with TRUCKS try bringing back something like THE MR2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all need an affordable, fast, midengined sportscar with bullet proof reliability and stupid fuel mileage.

There is a pic! :D

Didn't get the 12 I was hoping for. It ran a 13.06 @ 103+. There are still a few tuning issues but, the tracks are pretty much closing around here so that's it for this year.

I think thats pretty cool that they allow you to have a supercharger installed and it doesn't void the factory warranty. Would be nice if GM had something like that.

You can't really complain about the price once you see the option break down. If you just go for the go-fast goodies you can have that thing for around $30K.

You'd be surprised some of the cars toyota has supercharged. Hell, even the previa egg van had a superchrager and awd option. It's like a big ugly rally car.

Don't speak of such things..........................
The Duece is never coming back in a platform that people will enjoy. And I want to buy a hard top solstice turbo, if they made another MR2 I'd have to buy that.
