I found some barely used rebuilt 993 heads. I know they have a huge combustion chamber (like 75cc) 2.02 and like 1.60 valves(just a guess) but the price really is decent like 100 bucks. Will I be able to pair them with the right kind of pistons and cam etc, to put out 350 hp like I want? What do you guys suggest? I suppose I could get the heads ported and polished and a 3 way valve job if that will really help.

Thanks

Brian

You could get 350fwhp with those but why? For 200-300 you could go pull some vortecs out of a junk yard and get 400hp.

haha good point. thought about that....but I have a viable edelbrock intake that will work with non vortec heads. and its a cj7 i dont think it needs 400 hp. Not to mention i already waste too much time in yards.

Go for it then, if your not concerned as much about speed. Youll make decent torque with the right setup, just dont expect them to breathe well up top.

What kind of setup will make good torque? If it doesnt breathe well up top does that cause any major issues?
