What do you guys recommend? I know msd has a few models (looking at a MSD-6AL)...anyone used one or know of any issues?
Thanks!

depends on what ur build is good for. I do like the drifting volvo, if your going to do it, do it in a car built like a tank

Thats a great choice. MSD makes a great product and the chips do work.

I have the MSD 6AL in my 89, works flawlessly, i have the adjustable limiter for 6000 to 8200 RPM, nice to be able to twist a knob rather than change the plug in modules (My box is out of sight).

+1 MSD 6AL is a great entry level box and will keep the R's where you want them.....

you could also look at the MSD street fire box. It gives you an adjustable rev limiter, and the multiple spark up to 3000rpm. the only real difference from what I can tell is that the 6al gives multiple spark over the whole rpm rane. I think its 150 from summit as opposed to 220 for the 6al. so if you want to save some cash thats another option
