just got ahold of a new project
76 Nova 2door(factory sbc350 wit th350 tranny)
plan to make a nice street/strip car out of it.
Once i get it running , i want to run it at the track, jus to see wht i have to work with.
who makes a good complete rebuild kit for the sbc350. i figured since i have to rebuild the motor i might bore it out to a 383. any and all advice is welcomed. im new to this scene. (im a converted minitrucker LOL)

no problem and i believe to be a 383 you have to bore over .030 but dont quote me on that and u might have to grind ur block for everything to fit but its been doen a million times and they are power makers for sure and an ls1 would be sick wicked if i had the money id have one in my monte right now lol

Powerhouse will be about the cheapest for a basic kit, go to enginekits.com I believe. Very good prices if your not looking to build a high dollar engine.....

Check out our sponsors:
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?action=catalog_start&catid=873
http://www.carshopinc.com/
Those are a couple with several small block applications to choose from, SDPC has several well priced kits and at several ways to choose the assemblies even balanced before the kits hit your door step.

Thats exactly the one I'm talking about, no site sponsor can touch those prices. Car Craft has done several write ups and dyno tests with that same kit and had great results and made KILLER power for the money
Powerhouse is a couple hours from here and the have a small shop here in town where I buy a ton of stuff for low dollar builds. They ship like LIGHTSPEED as well, I have it the next day if its not in stock at the Fresno store.....
You would just need the kit, an oil pump&machine work as it comes with a complete gasket set....

would i just need the stroker kit? or both??

Just the stroker kit and a oil pump should do it, the kit comes with gaskets, rings, bearings and just needs to be balanced which they can do in house before they ship it to you for a little more. Really a tough price to beat anywhere

I had one of those waaaaay back when before many people had even seen a body dropped truck, Painted by Cal Kustoms and Air Syndicate w/ some really cool biomechanical tweed interior. Took it in trade and traded if off after not long, not my style and I'm 6'3" so wasnt the most comfy thing for me to drive LOL!
