Automotive News, Media & Press - Wikipedia biased?
I happen to be on Wikipedia a few days ago and looked up Nurburgring lap times. I noticed the ZR1 time of 7:22.4 as run by Jan Magnussen in Oct. 08 is not posted. I searched further into the matter and found out some squirrel is disputing the fact! It has been published in several magazines and is noted on numerous websites. What is there to dispute? This is a fact and needs to be placed on the list. Wkikpedia is supposed to be an informational and factual site where people can add to a base of knowledge. I would love to have a bunch a people from this site bombard Wikipedia about this exclusion.

Yes it is somewhat... and since anyone can edit it, it isn't really the best source for accurate info at times where personal opinion comes into play. A while ago some ford fan was meddling with the GM LS engine part, sticking stuff in there how it was so inferior to the ford modular.

Wikipedia is great in concept. But I will never use it as a source.
Stick to REAL experts.

Wikipedia is great for entertainment and there is some good info on it but I wouldn't use it for information that I needed to rely on.

I use wikipedia mainly to find other sources with more complete information on a topic. And I sometimes use it just to get an idea of what something is.

As others have said anybody can edit wikipedia. The 7:22.4 time is not a fact. The whole thing was started by a prankster on fastestlaps.com and it snowballed from there. GM denies it and as far as I've seen no reputable source has ever confirmed it. You can bet that if GM were to go back they wouldn't leave without being first.
