Stereo & Electronics - MY V8 Trail Blazer just died while driving. HELP!!

Wife was driving her 06 TB (5.3L). It died on her completely while driving. I get on location in the middle of BFE. I get in and turn the key. All power seems fine. I turn the key and a strange noise comes from within the hood area and nothing. Everytime I turn the key the clock resets. The noise does not sound as though the starter is bad. Again I turn the key and nothing happens.:bang:
I am fricken used to stuff like this with my damn TA. Just wondering, before I head out tomorrow, to try and fix this, if anyone has had any issues like this or ideas.:confused:

I checked, as best I could, the battery cables. I pulled the fuses also and they looked fine. I will be checking relays tomorrow.

Alternator died?
Battery dead?
