if you wanna long tube then hedman makes a set with 1 5/8 with a 3" collector for like $160.00 in jegs. shortys are about the same price. that's about the cheapest you gonna find. these will work good with the 305, but if going to upgrade later on to a bigger motor then save up for the super comps. well worth it.

any idea of p/n's. my friend says all gen1 sbc's use the same headers. i say he's full of it.

gen 3 camaros take there own headers. none elso will fit. l/t part #500-68460, shorty #500-68470 in jegs. all gen 1 small block can take the same header but the car is where they fit different.

+1 on the headman shortys, go with the hookers if you want a bit more power, even a touch better quality.

ground clearance is the biggest problem. i modified my subframe up front to tuck my lt's up close to the floor.

NOT flowtech or summit headers. they're JUNK car ran better with the manifolds on it. one of my friends has the hedman shorties, and they are good, i have the longtubes and even on my little 305, it works great, if you can, just run true 2.5 duals with an X pipe. there are great pictures on tgo of similar setups
