Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - electric choke wiring

we just put a demon carb on my dads 72 pontiac grandville. it used to have a vacuum choke and the new carb has an electric one. how do you guys wire an electric choke on a car that didnt originally come with one?

anyone?

Ground the black wire, and run the red wire over to a switched 12V. Whenever the key is on, the 12V will start warming up the spring inside to open the choke. If it is already warm, nothing happens.

ok i own an 83 z28 and my choke light has been on.i dont know how to do it. can anybody help with this one?
