10 Second Club - So do ya think it has 10s in it

I know it will need some work and weight loss but ya think its possible 10 get in the 10s. So far all I pulled was the front sway bar, rear seats jack etc
MPH is 119.44 first time out 1/4 11.881 on a 1.89 60ft

I wanna try NA first, but might resort to juice by the end of the season. Tons left to do to lighten it up and Im sure I could get a few more HP here and there!

I hate to say it but I think its a bit of a stretch. Currently if you were able hook that 6-speed good enough to grab high 1.5's/low 1.6's you would probaly hit 11.20's-30's which is still a decent amount off. You more than likely will need some serious weight reduction to get there but I wish the best of luck to you!

its a slight stretch but i think its possible. if you can hook it like said you'll be in the 11.4-11.3 range. and then you need to drop some serious weight. bumper supports, speed inc's lightweight carpet (got mine yesterday its nice) cut the fender supports and so on. and then if your on the bubble come to jersey and run at atco in the fall thatll help:D

Yeah theres alot of weight I could get rid of, everythiing you mentioned, plus Drag brakes, k-member/a-arms, AC, stereo, airbags, etc. If I could get it to hook on a 6500 dump and perfect weather, I think it could be real close.

You never know until you try I guess. I'd hate to see you gut the car like that since its so rare and pristine. I have regrets of ever digging into mine to tell you the truth. :bang: Kinda wish it just had bolt-ons. Anyways, would be pretty awesome to see an LE heads/cam car with the stock bottom end hitting 10's.

Im not gonna take out anything I cant put back, and I keep all the stock parts.

Gonna be VERY hard. I ran 11.20@122 with a 1.52 60ft weighing 3780lbs.


I could see some low 11's, 11.20 ish.....those last 3 tenths are gonna be HARD out of your setup. The power isnt there. You will have to lose some weight and 60 foot the piss out of it in some awesome DA to get there.

more weight reduction, lower 60 ft. and a 125-150 shot then get your title changed. NOS dumdumdum.

Damit! I know those last few tenths are gonna be a bitch. Pretty sure on the bottle it would go 10s as is.

I'll be positive and say I believe it could :D get that 60ft waaay down, and lighten her up and you might have a chance. Good luck with it :nod:

FWIW: My LT1 car on a 150 shot and bolt ons went 11.5@115 with a 1.58 sixty foot.

Then cam only on a burnt plug the car went 11.01 @121 on 150 shot and a 1.49 sixty. Full weight car. Well it was not gutted had every seat and panel plus retained power accessories.

I think you could get there. As mentioned 60' and reduce weight.
