Automotive News, Media & Press - American LeMans LG Motorsports GT2 Corvette fire

Anyone see it today? Boris Said was driving & the Corvette caught fire near the end of the race. Fire was thought to have been a result of damage after being clipped by another car. Was pretty nasty & Boris Said was fortuneate. Boris actually took time to drive the car off of the main course & into a bail out area while the interior was on fire w/ him in it. Nice to see LG competing in American LeMans though. It's great that smaller companies have the opportunity to run against larger car manufacturers. Unlike freakin' NASCAR, of which has become mainly over spec'd, corporate giant, bullshit.

dammit, I tured this off like 5 min. before it happened. I don't normally watch this series, but it kinda grabbed me today for some reason.

I was there..... I talked to Boris after the race (he used to drive for us so I know him a little). He was pretty sore and his face was red where his helmet did'nt cover and his arms was rapped up. Other than that he was o.k. The car broke a fuel line after the incident with the BMW.
