Stereo & Electronics - Rockford Fosgate 451s

Is this amp any good? I want to install it to two 12" kicker comp VRs. Will it hit pretty hard or should I go with something different. I had an 800 watt kicker amp hooked up to them and it was awsome, but this is going in my g/f car so I dont want it too loud.

I just purchased that amp for my components up front, but haven't installed it yet. If you are looking for a sub amp, I would suggest going with a class D amp instead of the 451s.

451s is a decent amp, may be a bit underrated for your application, i would go with the 701s, not too much more maybe $75. they are both nice. bd series is good bd500, i would stick with class ab and not slam it, dont crank your gain up on amp. d class generally stays cooler but fosgates dont really get too hot compared to others.

ben made a good point. 701 would run better, stay cooler and squeeze a little more power out. you should go with a solo baric kicker though if you could. just throwing out some suggestions!
