There are always issues with first year productions, that's why I'll never buy one. Wait until at least the 2nd-3rd year.

I thought GM delayed production so they could work out all of the kinks on this model?!

Are you kidding me? One car has a small issue and we need to hear about it? Are we going to hear about the first Camaro owner to get a flat tire? The first to change their oil? How about the first to apply Rain-x?

This car has gotten way too much press from inception...now it's out on the streets and it's getting EVEN MORE!?!?!

That isn't really an issue. In fact, shame on the user for not being able to tighten a loose wire. Booo hooo hooo.

Society is getting ridiculous. Sure I don't expect people to pull trannies in the lot but a loose wire?

DO the new 5th gen have their batteries in the trunk?????

A flatbed towed the disabled car to a dealer where diagnosis found the cable running from the trunk mounted battery had frayed on the starter motor and grounded out, causing complete loss of power. A new cable running a different route will be installed at the dealer.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

This is probably the one place where we are in agreement! I'm sure you are as tired of hearing about the Camaro as I am about the GT-R. Well, i'm finally tired of hearing about the Camaro. I love the car, fine...but we don't need the same kinda coverage on it that the GT-R got. Both were a waste of everyone's time.

Oh, and you should also consider the fact that i'm not the one posting every single remotely positive peep about the car...like SOMEONE else does with a certain NISSAN.

Pot meet kettle indeed. :eyes:

OH NOES A FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION CAR BROKE DOWN!@!%$%##$%#!@

Seriously? It happens all the time...besides it was just a faulty wire.....nothing serious......Being the fact its the "Camaro" online people are going to make it seem like its a bigger deal then it is.

Hopefully it is an isolated issue, time will tell.

I don't know why people are bitching. It's just a posting of the first minor issue. The first Camaro breaking down (no matter how small the problem) is a "big issue." And I agree, this never should have been an issue considering how much testing this car has had.

DO the new 5th gen have their batteries in the trunk?????

Yes. There is just a lug up front that can be used for jumpstarting.

That sucks, I hate trunk mounted batteries. Its the first few months of production, its expected that there will be some early production issues that SHOULD get worked out before next years cars...

You hate better weight transfer and more weight over the rear axle?

well this was boring. Where's my exploding cars and trannies that take a dump onto the freeway? A frayed battery cable is hardly news worthy. Get back to me when they're leaking fuel and streaking down the road on fire.
