Road Racing - K-members - standard vs "road race" models

Looking at replacing my k-member with a tubular model. My question is whether the road race models with the additional bracing is worth it or if the standard models is fine for most applications?
A buddy has a standard model I can pick up cheap so curious if this style will work for me. Car is a daily driver that will see a handful of open track days (6-10).
has anyone bent or broken a standard model or had other experiences?????
Any input appreciated.
Besides the factory one weighing a few more pounds, is stronger than a tubular will ever be, why would you switch? Last time I checked, the suspension geometry is unchanged between the two.

I bought a tubular Kmember (non roadrace) and just added my own bracing. it was cheaper and very easy to do if you have a welder or know someone who can weld good.

I wouldn't go through the trouble unless you want to take advantage of the added camber/caster adjustability the aftermarket K-members offer, or you're trying to be competitive, and want every advantage you can get.
I have the UMI RR K-member in my car, and only did so because my factory one got beat-up in an off-track "incident", so I figured, why not. I wouldn't have done it as a stand-alone "mod" though ... esp. not for a daily driver, occasional track car.

UMI RR Kmember looks nice and stronger but big $$$$.
