i bought my car with the spohn drag racing rear sway bar already installed. i would like to take the car to a couple road racing events and was wondering how this bar would perform. should i stick with it or sell it for something else? thanks!

From what I can see that rear bar is 25.4mm and probably wont be a good for handling. To stiff in the rear will make the rear loose, stock bars are commonly setup at 19mm or 21mm.
It also is dependent on what your front bar specs at....just as an example, a common setup these days is front 35mm and rear 22mm.
Hope that helps.

haha ok so its TOO beefy. i was wondering about that. my thought process was like o well if its the beefiest it should be BETTER! but i guess thats not the case. o well, this thing was fucking expensive, so hopefully i could trade it out for something else, im trying to turn the car from a drag only to more of an all around thing. i LOVE the way my friends s2000 feels. it would be sweet to have the power my car does with handling like that, but i dont think its possible to ever make the camaro feel anything CLOSE to that.

Ive been an S2000 many times and yes they feel really good. The main advantage those cars have is weight! they are right around 2500lbs vs an average fbody is 3400lbs or more. My car is at 3190lbs in race trim at the track and I only make 375hp...I was posting very similar times to S2000s...so it's not impossible for what you ask.
Take weight off the front of the car, lightweight hood, lightweight battery, remove airbags, !front bumper support!, lightweight seats...wow getting very close... :)
If you are really serious on turning your whip from drag to RR check out frrax.com
Read, Read, Research and Read some more..that forum is a great place to find out what works on our vehicles.
If you want to be lazy or whatever you want to call it and cop out lol...then you could just have stranoperformance sell you a kit. He has a proven setup that works for him and call it a day.
I'll break it down into the basic components really quick.
You need good, shocks, springs, swaybars, adj Pan Hard Bar, weight reduction and alignment are not required but recommended.
Notch those out and you will right in there.....the last bit would be good rubber and better brakes...but learn how to drive the car before you get that far.

good deal man, thanks for all the info. all of my rear suspension is ball joints. is that any beter than the urethane? or does it matter? id kind of like to get rid of it because its noisy, but if it helps at all ill just keep it and live with the noise.

do you mean rod ends? usually rod ends are good as long as they are quality and you can live with the extra noise.
Poly can be good in certain places but not all. I think the biggest concern would be the lca's dont want poly on both ends.
Other than that it should be ok....maybe some else can chime in.
Hope you get ride rolling like its on rails..

You can got to the FatCat motorsports web site & click on their suspension tutorial link. Yuo can play around w/ different shock/spring/sway bar/vehicle weight ratios in order to get a better understanding of what mods will turn your car into a real performer. The FatCat suspension information is related to Miata suspension tuning, but is great reference information & will be enough to get you very close to optimum. Good-luck
