Well following installation of a new alky controls meth kit, an eboost 2 controller, and a Speed density tune, went from 523 to 692 hp.

Unfortunately: Textralia Exo Skel with less than 1000 mi, and under 20 passes down the 1320 won't hold. (We'll see what gives when it comes out, hydraulics? ARP bolts on flywheel? don't know yet). This clutch should of held this power level.

My most excellent tuner Arun, indicates there isn't much left in these base turbos, but the final tune can only be done once the clutch holds again.

I have LG turbo cartridges to put in, but the stock tranny is on borrowed time. I'm waiting for my Tr-6060 and QTP bellhousing, before I can go much more than this.

Thanks to the folks at Canadian Performance.

Well I'm down for now as the clutch is slipping.

Rob and the folks at Champion have air freighted a new SPEC P-trim dual disk clutch. So Arun can finish the tuning.

Maybe even break the 700hp barrier (only 8 hp away now)

But if not....I have the 70 lb/min turbos waiting in the wings Bwuhahaaa....!

(Course I expect the stock tranny to give in next)

Great work guys.

Thanks

Stock T-56! Tranny.

Next going in is the TR-6060 6 speed and QTP bellhousing.

Out of turbo won't make any more boost than 13.4psi
So I have Louis 70lb.min Turbo cartidges ready when I blow these, or after I get the new tranny in.

No track times yet. Just got it back Saturday.
Car is more manageble now with the Eboost 2. and speed density tune. Very easy to blow off the tires, when boost comes on.

Did you get it dyno'd?

Interested to see impact of your better intake and exhaust.

For an Auto do you need any other safety equipment for >700hp and torque, similar to the bellhousing?

Who did you order your scavenge pump from? I think I need to do that now too.

Any cooling problems ?(I have stock rad, and in town it heats up quick, highway no problem)

Interested to see impact of your better intake and exhaust. Yeah be interesting to compare.
What are your cam specs??

Not sure don't care about being track legal. Going to outlaw track not nhra.they are pretty slack.might run at local nhra track once or twice. No rollbar not sure if putting one in.

Who did you order your scavenge pump from? I think i need to do that now too. Turbowerx their better one.got it off ebay.not installed yet.

Any cooling problems ?(i have stock rad, and in town it heats up quick, highway no problem)

so far none. In town or highway. Seems to stay in middle of stock gauge. I have fans set to come on low.i have 160 stat. I put redline water wetter in there. But it hasn't got that hot here yet.
And wasn't running my air either. I would put in big rad and high flow water pump if need be. See how it goes.not my daily driver so don't have to drive it on really hot days.

what are the LG turbos? are those to be used with the APS kit?

Lust4Thrust
06-13-2009, 04:19 AM
http://www.lgmotorsports.com

They sell updgraded turbos for the APS twin turbo set up. They come in multiple size upgrades depending on how much flow you need. The APS turbos were sized with stock displacement in mind.

They are a sponsor here.

thank you!

will those turbo's fit the 98-02 f-body's?

Lust4Thrust

Supposedly they will, you have to re-use your exhaust housing that came with the APS kit. I haven't installed the new turbos yet.

Thanks Rob:

Car is an absolute animal! Pulls like someone attached JATO rocket boosters (till the tires break free).

Can't use the power on the street, with 315 GSD3 street tires.

Stock tranny I suspect will go boom with prepped track and 325 MT DRs!

Buddy who drives a Big Block 1st gen Camaro was in absolute awe.
