FLT Level IV with vacuum modulator and Circle D 5C converter. I drive the car to and from the track. The trans has about 10K miles and 30 track runs with no problems. I just bought the converter last year and so far it has been flawless.

I built my trans, similar ingredients as FLT and Performabuilt use, Vig2800, with a 28k cooler. It's about as beefy as a tranny with stock input/output shafts and planetaries can be. It has about 15k miles and about 200 passes without any issues. I haven't changed the fluid yet, but will be draining and dropping the pan soon to change the filter and see how the inside of the pan looks. Last season it was making around 500rwhp. I dyno'd it last weekend and it put down 643rwhp with the changes I've made for this season. I'm still waiting on suspension parts before it goes down the track again.

Rebuilt 4L60E w/shift kit in early '06, but got it refreshend last year with an upgrade to 4L65E specs from a local tranny builder. Many N/A passes, many bottle refills with about 7000 miles on the refreshened tranny. H/C, N20 and a Pro Edge 4000 stall.
Chuck, before looking for another tranny builder, check and make sure it's not tuning related: Deleting P0751 and/or P0757 codes, replacing the vehicle speed sensor (even if you don't need it). Those items can make your tranny go haywire (not shifting, etc) with a higher stall.

I had someone local do mine, it is basically a bunch of Rossler parts with upgraded clutches and steels. The guy/shop who built it has a great rep for keeping 4L60E's together in fast cars. My converter is all wrong, but is getting the job done for now. I run an old, (bought in 99') SY3500 converter.
I have over 6K miles on my transmission, I daily drove the car for about 5 months while I fixed my 91'. I only have 13 "track" passes due to the weak link out back. (AKA - the 10 bolt) The transmission has been flawless though, I am extremely happy.

My old set up w/ 4l60e tranny had over 300 passes on it most of them nitrous passes pull mid 1.40 60fts. I change set up in my TA and the first person I called was FRANK @ bPERFORMABUILT to build me a BAD T400 he said no problem had it shipped in a week. thats customer service. I gave my brother my 4l60E for his drag car/daily driver camaro hes smoking people weekly at the track. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A DAM GOOD TRANNY ITS ON ITS 3rd year and has been ripped to shit and it still going no problems top that. PM me if you have any other questions

I am currently running a Performabuilt level 2 tranny with a Yank 3600SS convertor. This combo hits hard at WOT but is civilized enough for my daily driver. Like this combo alot.
I only spray (125 shot) at the track and this has held up well. Frank offers Good Cstomer service on his trannys.

Rossler TH350 Lockup Tranny, Circle-D 4C lockup converter, HKE 427 All motor 10.002@137 1.37 60'. Never had any problems other than I think it should be faster. The tranny and converter have never missed a step, but replacing because I want a non-lockup tranny and converter.
New setup getting installed in two weeks is a Rossler TH400, Neal Chance 9" 5000 Stall. Same motor...This bitch better go into the 9's

Local guy rebuilt my 4L60E back in 2001. Just had it rebuilt last month because the crappy TCI converter i was talked into trying out let go and ruined the face of the pump.
I have ran P.I.,Yank,TCS and TCI converters with this transmission. I have numerous 10sec. passes with it with a best of 10.58@126. Now i have a fresh 4L60E with a new Yank SS4000 :D. Time to see what the new setup can handle. If your big on dyno numbers im roughly around the 500rwhp mark but i don't dyno race. Dynoed 447rwhp on a mustang dyno with the converter unlocked with the old setup 2 years ago with 200 miles on the motor.

Since i was on a tight budget I gave up overdrive and went with a reverse pattern full manual PTC th350 and PTC SS3600 that I eventually had restalled for nitrous(bout 3200 now)
No regrets :)

I have a locally built th400 with a bte 3000 stall converter. I'm probably going to be getting a circle D converter that will stall around 4000 - 4200 on the brake. I have bigger ideas for the future so I figured I might as well just do the trans once and not have to worry about it.
