anyone know how to adjust timing on a tpi. i had to install a new cap and rotor and once i did that the car will not start. so i figure that i set the timing off during the process or something.

As long as you didnt remove the distributor or move it, the timing shouldnt have changed.
Theres a single brown (I think) wire that needs to be unplugged so that when you change the timing the ECM doesnt try to compensate for it. Should be towards the pass. side somewhere. That needs to be unhooked to change timing at all.
Make sure you have all the connectors plugged back in.

As stupid as it may sound, make sure all of your wires are on the correct terminal and on it's proper plug. I was helping my buddy out at his shop one time and a guy had his Monte SS towed in because it wouldn't run. To make a long story short, all of his plug wires were off by 1. As stated above, if you didn't pull the distributor it should not have moved.
