As the title says finally got some pics from Good guys Pleasanton AutoX, I’m very happy with my car, of course since it was my first time I took the track kinda slow hitting a 43, but from what I heard I was one of the most improved racers getting to a 39.27 which was my last run before they shut the track down. On an avg of 41 for the quick cars. If I only had 2 more runs I believe the SS would have got into the 38s. The fastest car out there was Mary Pozzi's in her '73 Camaro. She ran a 36.5 I believe but she's also a professional transam circuit racer of 15 years, she helped me with a few pointers out on the course, same with some of the techs at hotchkis, THANK YOU MARY AND HOTCHKIS.

Any way here are the pics

Seriously. The only thing that makes that autoX different from racing like an idiot on the street is there is a fence to catch debris when that truck rolls over and sheds all his 10's of thousands of dollars in suspension that will never see the mud or any real off-roading.

I like your cammy. Its got a neet hybrid fog-light placement. Quite similar to a T/A.

Also, that Hotchkis Challenger knows whats up.

Thanks, the cars kinda got a '69 camaro theme hence the fog light placement :D. The truck was funny he was out there having fun, he's on airbags and wanted to give the crowd a show by running most of the track on 3 wheels, think he got a 59 in his time.

ya i didn't understand the no helmet thing either, but this is the first year that goodguys has put this on i believe. The guys that owned was with one of the show sponcers i guess they had an agreement cause he only ran twice :eyes:

i do really like all the old muscle there.

it seems like it was thrown together by people who knew nothing about autoxing. maybe next time they should consult someone knows what theyre doing. what do you think would happen if someone totally lost it (ive seen it happen) and got hurt or hurt someone else? all without a helmet? and a passenger in a truck hanging out the window with possibly no seat belt? even the course looks extremely tight. albeit it looks like a very small lot.

That looks to be one of the most unsafe events ever. The saftey violation list would fill a page. You would be safer street racing, and that is only for the idiots of the world

Wow, i've never seen an autoX event with so many muscle cars. Was this a muscle car event only?

Your camaro looks pretty good man. That truck is crazy, lol.

Also, the autoX courses around here only use cones, no white chalk.

More money than sense applies here.....:)

ANyways...at least no one got hurt.

And yes....anyone who has attended a real autox session spectator or driver would of known better!

WTF hanging out the window and no helmets????? common sense would tell you some idiot or newb will loose control at some point.

Wow I didnt reealize LS1Tech had so many autox experts. The truck running around was stupid, but the helmet thing is a bit of a joke on a course where you dont even get out 1st gear. I wish I would have brought my car out there to play but was told my car was not old enough.
If you want to come ta bad ass autox eventy with some serious muscle check out American Autox Series. We just ran today in Marina.

Tdawg, are you running the Nitto NT-05 tire? if so, how did they handle on the course and how are they driving elsewhere?

I am running the nt-05s, they handled better than i expected on the course and great on the streets, they're a great tire all around from what i've noticed so far :chug:
