Looking to swap out my 5.3L, looking for an LQ9 or LS6. The newer the better. I am located in the Toronto/Barrie area.

I don't think its worth it for you to go about it this way. Yor 5.3 is putting out about 300 hp, the LQ9 depending on stock cam is 345-400hp. You might be better off with a cam swap. Now if you were going to go with a bigger crank to give you a 408ci, then it might be worth it. what are your HP goals, how much can you afford ?

Well I'm hoping for something like 400 rwh and spending $3-5K.

I don't think it's about HP......
It's more about torque.
I wonder what a full size 4x4, ext. cab, long box tips the scales @ ?

You think that's a good idea on an engine pushing 300k?

long as you have a good tune sure. Your tranny will probably go before the motor will ever pop.
Wanna buy a modded kenne bell 2.2 set up (allows the use of a air2water or air2air intercooler), even got a LPE GT2-3 cam that would work real nice with it :secret2:
