go with a hydro roller mechanical rollers although fun are sometimes short lived. on the street. although oil restictors and a solid flat tappet is always cause for alarm and demands a certain respect on the cruise night and perform great!!!! all the solids i have in all my cars are rarely adjusted because they don't need it and they include a 454 65 impala ss,63 fairlane 289 with factory solids, and a 1970 nova with a solid roller 350 400 horse nos system,86 chevrolet,3/4ton 355 b&m blower hydro grind soon to go to a solid!!! I love em the sound soft ticking in the nite just befrore a pull

rpm range and intended usage and of course your budget will determine what would work best
