Finally, the teams couldn't take it any more and they broke away! Hopefully they will follow through with the threat and won't fold when Bernie bribes them to come back. And maybe (fingers crossed) they will have a race at Indy again!

Look at what happened to Champ car and IRL...

What do you mean? IRL and Champ combined didn't they? Besides F1 is the worlds motorsport and the fans will follow the big teams which are the ones that are forming the new league, I know I will.

The only reason the combined is because they both suffered for 10 years.... by then the damage was done and people had all but written off open wheel racing in the US.

Wow...I wasn't aware of all the discord to begin with, but I'm all for it considering how tight fisted F1 seemed to be governed.

That had a lot to do with the powers at the Speedway too, and those powers haven't changed.
