Anyone lose their job lately because it got pulled back to the States?
It looked like we were going to get through this downturn in one piece when they announced we were being closed and the production was being moved to the States, China, and Malaysia. It seens the production moved to China and Malaysia from the States a few years ago has now become an issue in the States. So to solve the problem they are moving the Canadian production to the States (and what they don't want will go the China and Malaysia).

yea...a glass factory I was working in just before I went back to school shut down...they pulled it back to the states...over 460 people were out of a job. Sucks... Apparently we were one of the more "profitable" chain of there plants as well....

Yes, we were told we were profitable also.
Something to consider, not only will we be out of work, but the products we used to produce here will now cost us more since they will no longer be made here in Canada.

^^^ well gm has allot of factories here in canada that make cars and parts and we still pay more then anybody in the US.
i went to the dealer to buy ls7 lifters and the wanted 89 bucks a piece and i need 16 of them !!! so i just got them (all 16) from the states for 220.
maybe they think just because we are Canadian we are all idiots.

Ya...dealership here wanted a grand for an aluminum d/s....I picked one up off an 80's T/A for $80 shipped to my door....I try to stay away from dealerships for parts...You would think though that they would have competitive prices for parts...I mean, they could have a good buisness going if they had some decent prices...I would personally much rather use GM parts then aftermarket parts where I could, but not at more then 10 times the price...

sorry you guys hafta deal with our idiot also i cant stand his whole organization i went to the zoo today and saw some of his family i cant believe they let him out of there
