Street Racing & Kill Stories - My first highway race!

I got to race on the highway tonite for the first time! It was my 2001 ws6 with lid/LTs/ORY/borla vs 01 Z28 with at least magnaflow catback but could not tell what all else. I get on the highway, minding my own business, and the red z28 comes flyin up beside me like some badazz. So first race we go from 50 to about 75 I pulled away by about a car length or so. He pulls up beside me agian this time we go from 50 to about 120, he took off just before I did and keep about 1 -1 1/2 car lenghts ahead of me. So should I be embarrased that I was beat by a z28? from what I read an LS1 is an LS1 no matter if its a camaro or TA. I also had 2 friends in the car and I have subs/amp in the trunk so I had some xtra weight! He did not have anyone in the car with him.

No, the camaro is faster no matter what. :) lol Good death with all the extra weight.

Audio eqipment vs your pride. It will come to that at some point on your modding journey. I am sure at only 1-2 cars, the extra 300+lbs from your buddies cost you that run. No shame, you can't win em all.
