Well I finally got around to putting Gus's 2000 vert on the dyno yesterday. I don't pay much attention to the graphs since after every pull someone's yelling out the numbers and typically there always climbing, I'm more focused on seeing what my laptop is telling me is going on with the car.
So when we hit 680 rwhp I called it a day. We pulled it off the dyno and then I looked at the graphs-first I was surprised at how choppy they were. Then I notice how it starts to taper up top. So right away I look at the belt-DAMN!!!!! It was loose!!!!!! I never re-tightened it since the last round of mods!!!!
And Gus cruises with this car alot! At the same time we just about hit the limit of Racetronix pump, BAP, and ECS dual nozzle meth kit.
I'm sure with a tight belt it would of hit 700 rwhp.
Mods are:
Stock 2000 short
Patriot Stage 3 317 heads with 2.08/1.60 valves(Yes they fit on a stock short with no problems)
One of my custom cams-it chops:D
6 rib D1SC 4.25 blower pulley-12 psi
LS6 intake
Supermaxx headers
Car made 624 last season and with the addition of the Patriot heads and LS6 intake we picked up 50 rwhp without changing pulley's.
