For those interested...hit a new best time at the track the other night in the 3800

R/T..... .103
60'...... 1.946 (<PB)
330'.... 5.839
1/8..... 9.115
MPH.... 74.94
1000'.... .000 (broken I guess)
1/4 .... 14.380 (<PB)
MPH.... 93.45

Density Altitude: 1217 feet
Relative Density: 96.49 %

Not spectacular, but I'm almost pullin the 14.0 flat on streets...Should be good for somewhere around mid 13's on some radials when I eventually find some...

The tune can still be tweaked...shes running a tad rich, and I can still put a little bit more timing in...I'm tuned for 89 octane at the moment as well...so when I get a chance to tune for some 94 I can get a little bit more agressive to...

My trunk was also full of a bunch of crap for work, so that didnt help any...

she's makin progress...

Congrats, man. Those numbers aren't bad at all for a 3800. I was getting 1.9 6o foots at St.Thomas with the 402. :D

Thanks, Im suprised I even pulled a 1.9 on these tires...they're like rocks...last time I was out I was cutting 2.4-2.7 all night...

Im a retard though, my best 1/4 and 60' was on about 26-27psi in the tires...it was my first run to...after that I got the bright idea to lower it even more to about 20-21 psi so I could see if I could use the stall to launch rather then just going from idle...got nothing but wheel hop and 14.4-14.5 after that...

Couple guys on another forum have told me to stiffen the shocks in the back up a bit...I had them on the 2nd softest setting...so we'll what I can do maybe this wednesday if I go back... This time I'll be able to play with the tune abit to...had somewhat of a conservative tune I put on for the track since I wasn't going to have the laptop with me to monitor for knock and such...

you are pretty close to what i did with my stock z28. 13.1 1/4, but my lsd was fucked.

14.3 is a pretty far jump from a 13.1...

We'll see if I can grab some better times this wednesday...I doubt it though, I just rotated the tires again...the rear tires are pretty worn...I don't expect to get anything better then a 2.4 60ft...unless I roll it off the line again. I really need to get a set of sticky tires so I can take advantage of the stall

Good times, better then I would of expected out of the V6. I'm sure you will do better with more practice, I know I need more seat time:)

for some reason i thought it said 13.3, still a good time for a v6

with slicks and a very refined tune maybe... ...well atleast should be able to pull some mid 13's if I can work all the kinks out and grab some rubber...

13.1 is a damn good time for a stock z28 (I'm assuming LS1)...I've seen a couple at the track run in the low 14's...mostly in around 13.8ish though...

If you were in Ottawa, I'd let you borrow my Mickey Thompson's ;)
