Stereo & Electronics - Convert from Power to Stubby Antenna?

Broke my powered antenna and apparently lost the mast. The black base on the exterior is still there.

How do I go about mounting a non-powered stubby antenna to that base?

How do I hook up the antenna wire to the stubby antenna?

Well, you'd have to buy the parts for a Camaro fixed mast for the mount.

Do you know that you can get replacement power masts? They will probably run you less than what you need to put a fixed mount together.

You can also install a hidden antenna and skip all the stuff in the back.

Don't get me wrong, power antennas are nice when they work but when your fooling with your car a lot and the radio is on, that means every time you put that key in and turn your radio on even to work on your car that antenna goes up, well I figured I could always get another power unit if I wanted too later, But that was'nt on my agenda, so that's exactly what I did, I went to gmpartsdirect.com and ordered the base for a maro, then a gent on this forum was selling the "BitViper" mod shorty antenna which is what I still run.

After a while I took off the original antenna shown in the first pic and added a lil longer antenna which I like better:
