Any documentation to say that's what it is? Looks like a normal vert?

The only important document I need is in my RPO... the only camaro pace car that is impossible to clone! The 2002 Brickyard Camaro SS is the only Camaro pace car to recieve a RPO code.."Z7D". Do your research and you will see that without the decals(like mine) the only differance in a regular sebring silver vert is the LE wheels.

Why were the decals removed? Those cars were used by track personnel & officials, and during driver introductions. They were all decaled for the race.

The only Brickyard 400 car ever built with it's very own RPO code.
Very nice Z7D, too bad it's been stripped of the decals . . .

Gangsta pose. Nice.
Nice car too. It's a shame that the decals aren't there anymore. Maybe you can have someone reproduce an emblem similar to what the decals looked like. Emblempros.com makes good stuff.

Thanx for all the compliments guys. I had a chance a couple years ago to get a set of extra decals that were never used back in 02 from someone who actually applied them to all of the cars but they were like $1000 and I was short on cash at the time so I didnt pull the trigger:bang: But I guess if the decals were still on it I wouldnt wanna drive it as much and keep the mileage down but I love it the way it is and I have alot of plans for it.:D

The Camaros they used in the 2001 Brickyard 400 were the 35th anniversary cars. The 57 used in 2002 like mine were all Sebring Silver verts and they were all given LE wheels. Here is a couple popular shots of all of them at the track

That's why I asked. I noticed the stickers were not on it. Too bad you don't have them.

I would try to order some decals to go back on it.
You may want to look around on this website.

You can still get them. They aren't cheap but why wait for them to get even more expensive as more time passes.
It sounds like you plan to modify this car, if I were you I wouldn't. I'd go buy a regular Z28 and mod that. I've seen too many of these ruined with modifications. A car like this loses a shit load of it's value once it is changed from the way it was from the factory.

The 2002 Camaro SS paced the Brick Yard 400 TWICE.
The LE (Red with Silver Checkered Flag Stripes) Paced it in 2001.
The Z7D (Silver Convert) Paced it in 2002.
