Ok guys I have been searching all night and can't find the info I am looking for. first one is the PE cars. I know they first started with 35th SS cars and I was told they opened it up to all 02 SS cars. So if I had a 02 SS could I still send it to them for the PE stuff or not? also I have a few pics of a blue 02 PE car that wasn't a orig. color that they built so do they do whatever color you want or did someone pull some strings?
WS6 formula cars.
what years where they made 98-00?? correct? any production number out there? Also could you get a ws6 is BPM, BGM,BBM,or MMM?
ok one last question. anyone got any info on the 455 year one formula car? what was that about???

Formula WS6 production numbers:
1996: 524 coupes (10 were 1LEs)
1997: 473 coupes (14 were 1LEs), 41 'verts
1998: 221 coupes (14 were 1LEs), 2 'verts (both Red, one White top/M6, other Blk top/A4)
1999: 175 coupes (20 were 1LEs)
2000: 233 coupes
I know BPM (bright purple metallic) was available w/ WS6 in '98, however no Formula WS6s were built in that color (only 12 T/A WS6s were built in BPM). I also know, at least from '98-'02, BBM (bright blue metallic) and BGC (blue-green chamelion) were not available w/ WS6. Not sure what color BGM and MMM are.

BGM is the same as green chamelion. I accutally put up the camaro color code. the MMM is montary(sp?) maroon met. also did they make any in maple red?
thanks for your help!

Most of the Year One Formula's were done just through the dealership to my knowledge. Therefore unless you were lucky enough to stumble across one that had already been sent out to GMMG they were a base 350 car. Unfortunately these cars therefore didn't receive a build number. They can and some have been sent back to GMMG for the upgrades like the other GMMG cars. I do know of someone who purchased the base 350 car and upon delivery went directly to GMMG for the Phase I 380 package and another (the only one in SOM to my knowledge) that skipped all the way to the P2X6 package. The Year One 455 car I believe you originally asked about was in the article in that link I posted, which was the prototype and is still owned by an employee at Year One....AFAIK.

So your car is a base 350 car or a 350 H.O.? thanks for this info. So there is no way of knowing for sure its a year one car and not a copy or clone? No RPO code or anything?? How do you know how many were made if they don't have build numbers or anything? Are there vins stored with GMMG for if you wanted to send it back? So GMMG might be able to tell you, correct?

I swear there was a Bright green metallic 98 WS6 1LE Formula in a GMHTP shoot out sometime in 1999. They even talked about how it was a 1 of 1 or 1 of 2 built. I'll see if I can find it. Btw BGM is NOT the same color as Cameleon green/blue metallic.

Your correct I was thinking cameleon green was the bird name and BGM was the camaro color. Sorry for my mistake.
if you find any info post it up please!

MMM (Camaro color?) is the same as MRM (Firebird Maple Red Metallic)?
In any case, NO, MRM was not available w/ WS6. Although there are a few clones running around in MRM and BGC (as pictured above).

All of the cars had the H.O. at the end of the number on the graphic whether it was a 350, 380, or 475 (changed from 435 when GMMG changed pkgs.). The cars GMMG converted have build numbers but the ones built here at Carl Black do not. After talking to people at Carl Black I know that only 14 were built total. I've located 8 and I know that GMMG has done either phase 1 or phase 2 upgrades to 7 of them the last time I talked with Matt. As far as someone producing a clone, I haven't seen one not to say it doesn't exist though. As far as the VINs for all 14, I'm not sure if they were recorded and I'm still trying to track that information down.

I would like to see the pictures of the blue PE that you have and specially a picture of the door post showing the PE number tag on it.
The 50 numbered PE's were 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Camaros, with one of the 50, being a silver Brickyard Pace Camaro. They were limited to 50 and they have all been built, so you can not send your Camaro off and have it built into a PE.
Here is a picture of my two 35th Anniversary Camaro SS/LE/PE's and my 30th Anniversary Camaro SS LT-4 #100.

beautiful cars you have!
here is a link to pics and some info about the car from the last time I was asking about it. Also from what I have found someone gave him the car at the F body gathering(8 I believe?) He has a account on here and when I searched I found some pics he posted years ago but I dont think he has logged in, in years. I sent him a PM about the car and no response.

The 2002 Performance Edition Camaro was originally intended to be done to the 35th Anniversary SS Limited Edition, as well shown with RareSS's great collection.
But it was opened up to ALL 2002 Camaro SS's. Still only built 50 IIRC. Most of the PE cares are LE's I think there are only 2 or 3 that were built as non-LE's. All of the Performance Edition numbers have been sold and built as far as I know.
The two that I can recall are the LeMans Blue one you refer to, and an Arctic White SS that I have seen.
Matt Murphy was working or getting another package put together with GM High Tech but the deal fell through.
