You guys honestly thought our government overlords will let GM continue making a RWD 6.0L sedan for the American market? I'm done buying GMs. Obama and Fritz can suck it.

Henderson is a government/union stooge. Soon GM will realize that if they thought it was tough for them to sell cars when people liked them, wait until they see what happens when people cant stand them.

Yea it's called the CTS-V

No kidding, honestly while the G8 is a GOOD car it certainly isnt a GREAT car that will be missed by most. Most dont even know it exists..

Personally I can care less if it doesnt come back and cant fault GM for that, but I can fault GM for pretty much making the car worthless in a couple of years. It wouldnt be that hard to keep the Pontiac name on the signs for a few more years. Not that the resale on this car will be any worse than any other GM product I have bough new over the last 10 years anyhow I guess :)

If you believe Douchebag Henderson, then yes. GM is killing the Zeta sedan (G8).

But, I'm still hoping Fritz isn't terminally stupid and that he's just one of those people who thinks lying to the public about killing the G8 is a good way to increase interest in a Chevy badged G8.

Either way, Henderson is coming off like a real douche right out of the gates.
At least we got the ZR1, ZO6, CTS-V, LS3 C6, and Pontiac G8 before the assholes, including Barry Soetoro, took over.
If I could just get an CTS with AWD and a LSx engine before the ship sinks, I'd be happy to maintain my C6 and a CTS for MANY years to come.

The LS engines aren't inefficient. I hate these fucktards. It's America anyway, if I want a V8 and RWD then fuck you, its America! You are supposed to be able to get what you want...... Guess when i have a family some day I will buy a 94-96 Impala SS or a G8, won't be a new car.

Damn, I was REALLY hoping that this would happen. :nono:

Oh well, I likely wasn't buying one new anyway so I'll just grab a used G8 GT a few years down the line if I really want/need one. :burn:

its not that its inefficient - a 400hp 4000lb sedan capable of close to 20mpg is actually a marvel - the problem is people like my wife (who are the majority) will see the mpg sticker - see 15 and say pass.
A ford fusion is around the same price but a hybrid can get what 10-15mpg more in the city.

Us gear heads are a very small minority - and while the G8 is a kick ass car - the general public will never accept it and GM realizes this.
Not to mention they also have the Vette and the Camaro to satisfy the V8 performance car category

I hear ya.
But, the public get's to choose between a coupe and a sedan for the 3 series, the G37, and the A5/A4.
Since the Camaro and G8 are on the same platform, the public should have the OPTION of buying either.

I'm gonna go on record, again.
Anyone who buys a 3,850lb sedan for a performance "coupe" (2010 Camaro)and passes on a C5 or C6 for the same, or less, money, is just plain stupid.

I disagree, I bought a new SS impala in 2006, and would have bought a G8 if it were available at the time. And I was planning in another few year to buy a G8 when the SS gets tired, but I guess I will be getting something else.

I used to have some cool 2 door performance cars but it is a little hard to fit two children and a wife in a C6. and the G8 would have been the perfect car for my needs.

I COMPLETELY agree with you.
Reread some of my posts. I am a HUGE supporter of the G8.

I don't like the coupe version of "Zeta" (Camaro) because it has practically the same weight as the sedan (G8) and NONE of the utility that you would skip the Corvette for.(4 doors, baby seats, etc)
