How accurate is this PR length-checker tool in the pic is compared to the adjustable PR ?

I dont see how that thing lets you figure out PR length at all. Maybe on an adjustable valvetrain set up. Im assuming that bolts in place of the rocker? Maybe Im not seeing how it works.
I just used the adjustable PR. Super easy, and it works. Got it from summit. Comp cams makes it. Took about a day to get.

yeah, the ones ive see always look like a pushrod. ive never seen one like that b4.:emb:

That appears to be a pr length checker for a sbc...

thats right, its a SBC PR length checker,,,i never used such a tool,according to the instructions both ends of the PR and the valve tip should contact this tool at the same time while valves closed.if PR touches first then i shoud replace with a shorter PR...sounds pretty easy :/ guess ill stick to the adjustable PR length checker

In my experience they're not very accurate, on an LT1 that tool showed my pushrod as being the correct length, however when I checked the same valve with an adjustable pushrod the correct length was actually .050 shorter.
