Second gear slips, but other than that, it was working when it came out of my '02 Z28, with ~98,000 kms on it. Obviously it's in need of a rebuild or repair though. The torque converter is still the factory original.

Not sure what it would be worth at this point? I'll start negotiations at ~$250 ;).

I also have the cross-member to go with the transmission, if required.

PM if interested.

Anybody have a use for this, even as a core?

$150??

Any idea how much a rebuild / repair would run?

Basic rebuild may be ~$500 - $700? (I think my buddy had his done for around ~$600?). A full "race" rebuild runs upwards of ~$1500 - $2000 (those are the ~5, 6, 700+ HP jobs ;)).

However, this tranny of mine still worked fine other than 2nd gear alone is what began to crap out, so it might be a cheaper fix? And it's not that 2nd gear died altogether ... it still worked, but under heavy throttle, it would slip going in, or if already beyond 2nd gear, and hitting the throttle forcing a down-shift, it would try to grab 2nd but slip. Under "normal" driving, it would still shift into 2nd and accelerate the car, but the upshift from 1 - 2 was soft.

Good deal for $150... My friend had a 4L60E trans built with the TCI streetfighter rebuild kit, added a TCI 3500 converter and with labour included for the rebuild was less then $2k. That includes buying a trans core for $200. I've got the TCI rebuild kit if you're interested.
