A ship date a month out usually indicates a special order. Seeing as that was a CRANE grind I would not hold my breath on getting it from Summit.

No one, Crane Cams ground the GM847 cam for GM. You could get a custom cam to match the specs:

234/242 .539/.558 112. Don't know the lobe profile though.

I never removed it. I bought it used with 1000 miles on it to replace my CC503 when I get heads. I was going to hold on to it. Not sure.

LOL, I still have the CC503. I bought the cam locally for a good deal to keep on the shelf as an option for when I get ported heads. But I might just keep my current cam. I love it so far.

OP, if you can't find a GM847 cam, Comp is still making the CC306.

I was wondering because I to have a used 847 cam with less than 100 miles that I'm thinking of swapping in my h/c/i engine that I'm going to swap into my new 94 m6 Z28. The engine currently has a custom comp 230/230 - .560/.560 110 lsa cam or I might hold the 847 for when I build my 383.

just get a custom cam if you go new

a custom cam from LE isn't much more than a plain jane off the shelf one

The obvious place would be a GM dealer.

^logic would dictate this

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.html
search for p/n: 12370847

but I'd buy slp's, if you're gonna go off-the-shelf, might as well get a good deal on it

I looked on Ai's website and they have a custom grind that is exactly the same as the 847 except it's on a 110 lsa instead of the 112 lsa of the 847 cam and for NOS the wider lsa will help with that so I'm going to use my 847 when I do my 383.

You will have to rev it well past redline to utilize it.

That cam will peak at 5800-6000 rpm on stock heads.
