This will be the first time I've ever used drag radials at the track...so any help or tips is appreciated...
I am going to the track either wed/thursday...weather pending... I just put on my new weld prostars and MT et streets...
2 things.
1) I notice when I lit them up to try to heat cycle them, they are wearing only on the inside half of the tires...
2) what psi should I be running in them? I was running 20psi for the dry run on the street today...I just wanted to see if anything was rubbing etc...
The tire size is 11.5x 26...mods are in my sig...
Thanks guys...
Your pressure is too high so start at 15psi and work your way down. I run 13psi on mine.

If they hook up at 20psi... then keep them there. More pressure... less rolling resistance down the track. You should also inflate your front tires as well. If they are radials... 40-45psi.
As for the wear.... you have a solid rear axle... so it's not like your camber is off. With the power levels your dealing with... I'd try heating them up just a little... and seeing if the tires grip. The less you heat them up... the longer they'll last... and the more fun you'll have.

I'll have regular street tires on the front, so I don't think I can run much more then 35-40psi up there....
I know we have a solid axle, thats why it through me off when I saw that the middle to inner part of the tire was wearing, and not the outside. I noticed this after I pulled it down an industrial side street to burn em out...I wanted to make sure everything is a go, I don't want to hit the track and have problems, plus, I've never used these before so I wanted to get a bit of a feel for them....
When I tried brake stalling the car after the burn out it wouldn't hold past 2000rpm and the tires would break loose...my regular street tires (which are crap) are able to hold until the stall point at 3200 rpm...I'm thinking the M/T's are slipping because I'm only using half of each wheel....??
