Yeah, the bolt ons are easily undone but sounds like you're looking for more a driver. Lots of those out there at fire sale prices. Wouldn't make sense to buy a low mile car and beat on it. G/L, your search shouldnt take too long in this economy.

what I pay depends on the deal....I want to stay under 15k, but theres one im looking at for 6800, that is real nice. So that shows the range at what Im looking at. As far as distance, my truck is from Ohio, my sleds are from WI, so if its to far to drive, I may fly :)

You are smart to travel to find the car you want. A small expense overall to get what you want and hopefully keep for years. Half the fun is the road trip back anyway. If North Carolina isn't too far away check out this site http://www,morrisonmotorco.com. It is a fun site to look at anyway even if you don't go there. They are near Charlotte and almost next door to the Lowes Motor Speedway. They always have a really nice collection of F-bodies which include Z28, SS, and Trans Am convertibles as well. I just looked and saw a few candidates. Most are automatics but they had a really sweet '97 T/A 6 speed. I have personal buying experience with this outfit and they sell very clean stock examples with usually no issues or stories. They run a car museum as well. The bad part is they don't negotiate hardly at all with price. If you see something for $15,900 you would be doing real well to get it for $15,000. Good luck with your search!
