Ok, I had done a ls6 swap into my 2001 camaro. (just to get it out of the way faster, 01 camaro with full intake and ls6 manifold, ls6 long block out of an 04 z06, blower cam and beehives, 4l60e with a 3200 stall and tune, stock exhaust manifold with borla pipes.) I'll never look back but The long block came with a blower cam and beehives. I think 115 lsa +4 and 247/232 or in that area, I don't have my paper work. Anyway, I had it tuned and it runs great but It gets really effected effected by the weather. If it rains, gas goes to hell, if it sunny it's a champ. Well I just had a cool and dry and it seemed to be running a little more stout. However I've been pissed at my guy because he can't seem to get the check engine to quit blinking at me when I idle at a stop light. I have stock headers so i know the engine is choking and not being able to scavange but most of the time it's manageable. But today (70's and dry) it was idling more ballsy. Then I got the No ASR light when I was going through a drive through The shifts seemed faster and tighter but of course I get scared when anything changes because I threw a rod in my last motor just starting it. I put it in neutral and coasted and restarted and it went back to normal. Any clues to why the ASR would kick off, is it based on the intake variables? I do have the full K&N intake,(the cone, not a the lid) and the SLP MAF, It does have the LS6 intake. I did use a different gas station as well (Valero instead of Murphies.) Well might as well make a two parter. in 2 months I've gotten around 20 to 22 on the highway. If it rains my car runs crap and the gas just disappears, I use twice as much even though I'm just sitting in traffic. It takes about a day to go back to normal. Anybody had something similar?
